You see a property online and instantly fall in love. You rush to call your realtor to schedule a showing as soon as possible. If it's as what it seems, you're ready to make an offer.
When you get to the property and walk-in, you realize that the rooms, especially the bedrooms, are much smaller than they seemed. You were interested in the house but it was based on what seemed like large bedrooms. You start to feel like touring the home was a waste of time.
Here's how to know the size of the bedrooms are accurately potrayed:
First, start using the tools that Houston Area Realtors' are using. Local agents don't use national sites like realtor.com, Zillow.com, Trulia.com, and the like. Real estate is local. We use the website specifically for agents, buyers, and sellers in the Houston metro area - HAR.com.
Second, when you find a property that you love, there's a section in the listing's general description that shows the room dimensions as illustrated below. This tells you exactly how large, or small, a room is no matter how pictures make it seem.
Thirdly, if you feel like the photos shown or the dimensions listed don't seem to make sense for the size of the home, contact your realtor. She/he can let you know if it is a typo or if the dimensions are accurate.
