Astros Owner and Chairman Jim Crane expressed the city’s enthusiasm: “We are excited and honored to be hosting World Baseball Classic matchups for the first time. Houston is a global city with the best baseball fans, and we are proud to welcome fans from across the globe to watch international competition at Minute Maid Park.”
Houston joins a prestigious list of host cities including Miami, San Juan, and Tokyo. With 20 teams competing, the stage is set for an unforgettable tournament in March 2026, marking the sixth edition of the WBC.
